A sport club is a student organization, recognized by UWL Rec Sports and formed by students motivated by a common interest and desire to participate in a favorite sport activity. Clubs actively compete locally, regionally, or nationally against colleges and universities. Sport Clubs offer opportunities for learning a new sport, improving existing sport skills, and competing at various levels. Club officers develop valuable leadership skills, through successful management of administrative affairs and intra-club dynamics. The UWL Sport Club program is the largest student run organization at UWL with over 500 student members in 24 clubs.
UWL Sport Clubs are funded in part by the Student Association, however the amount of funding the Student Association provides does not meet the operational needs of sport clubs. All clubs must contribute to their own budgets by collecting member dues and fundraising. The costs of league dues, tournament fees, transportation costs, lodging, facility fees, uniforms and equipment all add up. Your support helps lower club dues and helps club leadership and members focus on the game rather than fundraising.

Men's Club Volleyball:

Your gift supports: We need funding for the same reason this year, to help send both of our volleyball teams to nationals.
Bowling Club:
Your impact: The funding we receive from donors helped our team have the ability to travel to knew places and meet new groups of bowlers, thank you!
Your gift supports: Funds raised for the bowling club would benefit us greatly by allowing us to expand our team with buying more jerseys, as well as paying for lodging during tournaments away!
